Seagate sells two NAS drive tiers under the IronWolf brand: the standard IronWolf for home and small-office NAS builds, and the IronWolf Pro for heavier multi-bay and SMB workloads. Both are CMR, both include rotational vibration sensors, and both support IronWolf Health Management on compatible NAS hardware. The real differences are in warranty length, workload rating, and price — so the right choice depends on how hard you plan to push your NAS.

IronWolf: 3-year warranty, 180 TB/year workload, 1–8 bays, includes 1-year Rescue Data Recovery. IronWolf Pro: 5-year warranty, 300 TB/year workload, 1–24 bays, includes 3-year Rescue Data Recovery, and slightly higher sustained transfer rates. Pro models run the same AgileArray firmware but are binned and tested for heavier duty cycles. For a home NAS running light workloads, standard IronWolf is usually the better value. For multi-user, always-on, or RAID-heavy builds, IronWolf Pro pays for itself in warranty coverage alone.

CMR IronWolf Drives — Both Tiers
